Sirim certification enforcement for non-medical face masks postponed to Jan 1 next year

PUTRAJAYA, April 7 — Enforcement of the Trade Descriptions (Certification and Marking) of Non-Medical Face Mask Order which requires manufacturers and importers of non-medical face masks to apply for MS Sirim certification and labelling has been postponed to January 1, 2023.

Experts hope Sirim certification will not affect price of face masks

KUALA LUMPUR, April 7 — The MS Sirim certification and marking from Sirim QAS International Sdn Bhd for non-medical face masks will hopefully not affect the price of the product in the market.

Non-medical face mask manufacturers, importers must apply for Sirim certification beginning July 4

PUTRAJAYA, April 5 — Effective July 4, manufacturers and importers of non-medical face masks must apply for MS Sirim certification and labelling from Sirim QAS International Sdn Bhd.
